The story of The Snap Band Ban
For about three weeks, every wrist in school was wrapped in a neon slap bracelet. Kids snapped them on during tests, assemblies, even silent reading. Then the announcement came over the loudspeaker. Bracelets went underground into backpacks, socks and lunchboxes, which only made them more valuable.
The principal's confiscated bracelet drawer got so full that it snapped shut by itself every time someone opened it.
