The story · 1999
Grownups said the computers might think it was the year 1900 and simply quit. So dads bought flashlights, moms bought water jugs and somebody always bought forty cans of beans. Kids found the whole thing thrilling. When midnight came and the lights stayed on, the family ate beans for six months anyway.
Some kids unplugged the toaster at midnight just in case, then plugged it back in for breakfast.
