The story of Lick-and-Stick Tattoos
The tattoos came free inside gumball machines, birthday party bags and cereal boxes. You peeled off the plastic, pressed it on with a damp paper towel and counted to thirty. Kids wore lightning bolts, dragons and smiling planets on their arms for days, until bath time scrubbed them into a crackly ghost.
Kids who peeked too early ended up with half a dragon, which some claimed was a rare collector's edition.
