The Kitchen Tornado infomercial ran at 2 AM, right when insomnia made a vegetable chopper seem like the answer to everything. Pitchman Lenny Ferrante turned a whole cabbage into coleslaw in four seconds while the audience gasped like it was a magic trick. Every house eventually had one in a drawer, missing its crank.
Fun fact
The studio audience was mostly the crew's relatives, which explains why the same aunt gasps in every version.
