The story of Looping DVD Menu

Every DVD started with a menu that looped a dramatic clip and an eight-second chunk of music forever. If someone went to make popcorn, the whole room heard that clip forty times. Kids explored every bonus feature, hunted hidden extras by pressing arrows randomly, and somehow always ended up in the language settings.

Fun fact

Pressing left on some menus highlighted a secret blinking icon that played a blooper, if you were lucky.
