The story of Meringue Meltdown
Meringue Meltdown gave four home bakers ninety minutes and one oven each, then made them carry their towering creations across a wobbly bridge to the judges. Something collapsed every single episode. Host Chef Ramona Bright had a gasp that became famous, and the slow-motion replays of falling cakes were basically art.
The wobbly bridge was added after season one because producers felt the desserts were surviving too often.
