The story of Elote Cup Cart
The elote cart parked by the park every afternoon, and the smell of grilled corn did all the advertising. The vendor scooped hot kernels into a cup, then stirred in mayo, crumbly cotija, chili powder and a splash of lime. You ate it with a little spoon on a bench, and somehow it always tasted like the best part of summer.
Regulars asked for extra chili, and the vendor always grinned and added twice as much as they wanted.
