The story of Six-Alarm Hot Tenders

The menu board went from Plain to Mild to Hot, then took a turn: Whoa, Yikes and Six-Alarm. The tenders were crunchy and glossy red, served on a slice of white bread with pickles to soak up the heat. Most people ordered Hot and felt brave. The rare Six-Alarm customer got a round of applause from the kitchen.

Fun fact

The white bread under the tenders soaked up so much spicy oil that some regulars ordered it all by itself.
