The story of Flower Crown Fest
Meadowlark Fest took over the Hendricks farm for one weekend every June, and the whole high school went. Everyone wore flower crowns from the craft booth, face glitter and denim cutoffs. Bands played on a stage made from shipping containers while little kids danced on the hay bales. At sunset the whole field held up phone flashlights for the last song.
The festival's craft booth made over two thousand flower crowns in one weekend, and the farm goats ate the leftovers.
