The story of Silent Disco Homecoming

The student council rented two hundred light-up headphones, and the gym fell eerily quiet except for shoes squeaking and people singing off-key. Each headset glowed blue, pink or green depending on the channel, so you could see who was listening to what. The best moment was when all three channels played the same song and the room screamed together.

Chaperones tried the headphones once and refused to give them back until the last song.
