The story of Sugar Ring Donut Bar
Sugar Ring sold donuts the size of a face, topped with fruity cereal, crushed cookies, rainbow sprinkles or a whole toasted marshmallow. The menu changed daily on a chalkboard, and the best flavors sold out by ten. Customers held their donuts up to the neon sign for photos while the icing slowly slid off. The donut holes came in a paper cone.
Sugar Ring's day-old donuts went to the fire station, and the firefighters voted on a favorite flavor every month.
