The story of Recliner Seat Matinee

The old Comet 16 tore out its sticky stadium seats and installed giant leather recliners with footrests that hummed when you pressed the button. You picked your exact seat on a phone app days ahead. A server snuck in with chicken tenders and a pretzel during the trailers. Half the audience fell asleep during the movie, warm and extremely comfortable.

Fun fact

The recliners at the Comet 16 were so comfy that staff found a sleeping dad in theater nine after the credits twice a week.
