The story of The Blushhaus
The Blushhaus opened in an empty department store for exactly ten weeks, and tickets sold out in an afternoon. Each room was a backdrop: a ball pit of giant plastic pearls, a swing hanging from fluffy cotton clouds, a hallway of mirrors and soft lilac neon. Staff timed you at two minutes per room. Nobody looked at anything except through a phone.
The Blushhaus pearl pit lost about three hundred pearls a week, mostly to pockets and tote bags.
