The story of Rulebook Board Game Cafe
For a small cover charge you could play anything on the towering shelves for as long as you wanted. A staffer in a cardigan, the official game guru, taught rules at your table and settled disputes like a judge. Teens played strategy games about farming, trains and space trade, ate pretzel bites, and stayed until the staff stacked chairs around them.
The game guru could teach any game in under three minutes, except one about competitive beekeeping that took forty.
