The story of Porch Jar Sun Tea
Every summer a giant glass jar with a spigot sat on the back porch steps, tea bags floating inside, slowly turning amber in the sun. Nobody was allowed to touch it until dinner. Then it went over a mountain of ice with too much sugar and a lemon wedge. The jar was always one wasp away from total chaos.
Kids checked the jar every ten minutes like it was going to brew faster if they stared at it.
