The story of Straw Stander Shake

The diner down the road served the Straw Stander in a tall glass with the extra in a frosty steel cup on the side. It came with a straw, but the straw was just decoration. Kids competed to get one sip up the straw, cheeks hollow and eyes watering. Nobody ever won before it melted.

Fun fact

The diner pinned every crumpled straw to a corkboard behind the register, and by summer's end it looked like modern art.
