The story of Velvet Rocket
Velvet Rocket came in a tall clear bottle with a rocket-shaped bottle cap. It was the soda grandparents approved of and kids still loved, smooth vanilla with tiny bubbles that felt softer than regular pop. Dads drank it at cookouts while pretending it was a grown-up flavor. Everybody saved the rocket caps in a coffee can.
Rumor said if you lined up one hundred rocket caps they would point toward the nearest ice cream truck.
