The story · 1983

The story of Ricochet Orange

Ricochet Orange came in thick glass bottles that clinked in a wooden crate behind the counter. You paid a deposit and brought the empties back for a few cents each, which turned every bottle in a roadside ditch into treasure. The fizz was so aggressive it climbed up your nose, and that was the whole point.

Fun fact

Kids who returned ten empties got a free bottle, which started a lot of serious neighborhood bottle hunts.
