The story of Boardwalk Hair Wrap
Every summer trip ended with a hair wrap from the stand by the pier. You picked thread colors and a couple of beads, then sat very still while someone wrapped a thin strand from scalp to tip. It lasted for weeks and dripped for hours after swimming. Unwrapping it in September was the true end of summer.
Kids who added a bell to their hair wrap could no longer sneak into the kitchen for snacks.
