The story of Knee-Pinned Floss Bracelet
Making a floss bracelet meant safety-pinning it to your jeans and knotting row after row during car rides, sleepovers and boring assemblies. The chevron pattern was the gold standard. Once tied on, it stayed until it fell off naturally, which could take a full school year and several baths.
Kids who cut a bracelet off early were considered to have officially broken up the friendship.
