Dinner Plate Sunglasses made everyone look like a mysterious traveler with a secret. The lenses were the size of coasters and tinted brown or pink, and they pushed your bangs straight up when worn on your head. Kids wore them during the school assembly, which was a bold choice. Nobody could tell if you were awake.

The lenses were big enough to reflect the entire cafeteria, which made them great for spying on crushes.
