The story of Two-Dollar Flip-Flops
Two-Dollar Flip-Flops were the official shoe of summer and, against dress code, of school. They slapped against your heels with a sound that announced you three classrooms away. The thong popped out of the sole at least once a week. Kids had pairs in every color and coordinated them with their tank tops.
Kids drew designs on the foam with ballpoint pens, then the designs wore off in exactly one week.
