The story of Snowdrift Slouch Boots
Snowdrift boots were made for snowstorms but mostly worn to the movies in July. The suede slumped down around your ankles, the inside was soft as a pillow, and they absorbed every puddle like a sponge. Wearing them with the pom pom ties swinging was the defining look of every mall trip. Feet never got cold, only sweaty.
The boots soaked up rain so fast that kids who stepped in puddles squished for the rest of the day.
