The story of One-Eye Swoop Bangs
The swoop took a flat iron, a mirror and an hour every morning. Once done, it covered one eye completely, so you tilted your head slightly all day just to see the board. Teachers asked if you could read, and you said yes, mysteriously. Photos were always taken from above at a dramatic angle.
Swoop owners developed an expert head flick to clear the bang for exactly one second at a time.
