The story of Knuckle-to-Elbow Stripes
Knuckle-to-Elbow Stripes were sleeves that had broken free from their shirt. They came in black and pink, black and green, or black and other black, and they went from your knuckles to your elbows. Nobody was sure if they actually kept your arms warm. They made typing away messages feel extra dramatic.
Arm warmers worn on the legs were called leg warmers, and the 1980s wanted their idea back.
