The story of Silicone Cause Bands
Every school club, fundraiser and summer camp had its own wristband. Save the manatees, read more books, kindness counts: kids wore them stacked from wrist to elbow. Snapping them against your skin during class was the main hobby. The rare glow-in-the-dark band was traded like a priceless gem.
Wearing a wristband inside-out supposedly kept its message private, though everybody could still read it.
