The story of Lace-Up Licorice
Lace-Up Licorice came coiled in a shoebox-shaped package with a cardboard sneaker cutout for practice. Kids laced it, tied bows, double-knotted it and chewed it off in class. The bravest actually laced their real sneakers for a day, which made the soccer field sticky and attracted every ant in the county.
The blue raspberry laces left faint blue stripes on white sneakers that never, ever came out.
