The story of Squared Bubble Gum
Squared Bubble Gum came in little cardboard cubes with a cartoon bubble shaped like a box on every side. The instructions involved tongue positions, deep breaths and a lot of faith. Nobody ever blew a square bubble, but every kid knew someone whose cousin had, once, at a family reunion in another state.
Kids pressed bubbles between two textbooks to make them square, which worked perfectly until the gum stuck to the books.
