The story of Frosted Telegram Cookie
Forget greeting cards. In the mall food court, you could get a chocolate chip cookie the size of a hubcap with anything you wanted written on top in blue and pink frosting. Birthdays, apologies, good luck on finals. The kiosk lady piped faster than anyone alive, and the warm smell drifted all the way to the fountain.
The most popular message after happy birthday was simply the word sorry, usually bought by older brothers.
