The story of Laserbeam Double

Starport Burgers built its whole drive-in around outer space, but the Laserbeam Double was its finest hour. The burger came in a chrome-foil sleeve, the sauce was a suspicious pink, and on Saturday nights the parking lot ran a laser show while you ate. Teens cruised the lot just to catch green beams sweeping the clouds.

Fun fact

Starport carhops wore roller skates and silver capes, and at least one cape got stuck in a milkshake machine every week.
