The story of Stained Glass Fruit Sheets
Each sheet peeled off its cellophane backing like a decal, and the trick was holding it against the classroom window before eating it. Grape and cherry overlapped into deep purple, lemon and lime made a weird green, and for one minute the whole lunch table looked like a kaleidoscope. Then it was gone in four bites.
Peeling the cellophane off in one single piece was considered the true mark of a fourth grader.
