The story of Pudding Pails
The handles were the whole appeal. Pudding Pails hung off your finger like a tiny bucket, and the foil lid demanded licking before anything else happened. Chocolate went fast, butterscotch got traded, and the vanilla ones rattled around the bottom of the lunchbox for weeks. Empty pails became doll buckets, paint cups and sandbox treasure.
Most kids skipped the spoon entirely and tipped the pail back like they were drinking from a tiny bucket.
