The story of Tin Tray Tuesday
Tuesday was the night Mom worked late, so the oven hummed for forty minutes and four foil trays came out steaming. You peeled the corner back carefully, because the cobbler was always lava and the corn always leaked into the potatoes. Everyone ate on folding trays in front of the TV and nobody complained once.
Kids who saved the cobbler for last swore it tasted better after the steak gravy slid into it.
