The story of Gridsmith 47
The Gridsmith 47 cost more than a bike, and every math teacher put it on the supply list. It drew parabolas, sure, but its real talent was games: a tiny racing game, a maze crawler and a homemade adventure written by some legendary senior. Kids shared programs through a cable at lunch like secret recipes.
Students drew pictures by graphing equations, and one class spent a whole week perfecting a smiley face made of parabolas.
