The story of Turbo Button Tower
The Turbo Button Tower stood under the desk like a beige monument. It had a floppy drive, a CD-ROM tray that doubled as a cup holder and a big orange turbo button with a little light. Pressing it was supposed to make everything faster. Kids pressed it constantly and swore the games ran smoother, in their hearts at least.
The cup holder joke was not a joke in many homes, and plenty of trays snapped under the weight of a juice box.
