The story of Living Room Monolith
When a family got a Monolith, it was a neighborhood event. The cabinet was bigger than a refrigerator, and sixty inches of screen made every movie feel like a theater. You had to sit perfectly centered or the picture faded to gray mush. On game days, the couch filled up fast and the floor became prime real estate.
Movers charged extra for any staircase, and many Monoliths stayed in basements long after their families moved away.
