The story of Cordless Phone Sleepover
The cordless phone was the real host, passed around the room with its antenna fully extended. Everybody wore pajama pants and butterfly clips, painted their nails glitter blue, and filled out a paper fortune teller to predict their future careers. Someone's little brother kept picking up the extension downstairs, which ended every call with a scream.
The cordless phone's battery always died at the exact moment someone said the most important part.
