The story of Ice Cream Truck Sprint
You heard the Polar Pete truck two streets away, its speaker playing the same chiming tune slightly out of tune. Kids burst out of every house waving dollar bills, begging parents through screen doors. The side of the truck was a wall of faded stickers: rocket pops, cartoon face bars with gumball eyes, and the ice cream sandwich, always the safe pick.
Polar Pete always slowed down but never quite stopped, so a generation of kids learned to sprint while counting change.
