The story of Hockey Stop Inline Rink
When inline skates took over, the old rink repainted the floor with hockey lines and hung up two goals. Fridays meant pickup games with taped sticks and a ball that hit like a bee sting. Saturdays were trick nights, with kids weaving through cones in baggy jeans and wrist guards. The hockey stop spray of rubber dust was pure style.
The rink's original disco ball stayed up all decade, so every hockey game had a sparkly, confusing glow.
