The story of Motel Pool Cannonballs
It did not matter how small it was or how strong the chlorine smell got. The minute your family checked into the Pinewood Motor Inn, you sprinted to the pool in your swimsuit holding a room key card. Cannonball contests were judged by siblings. In the morning came the free breakfast with tiny cereal boxes and a toaster that took forever.
The Pinewood's pool sign said four feet deep everywhere, but every kid swore there was a secret deep spot by the filter.
