The story of The Great Monitor Lug
Getting there was the hardest part: a forty-pound CRT monitor in your arms, a tower in a laundry basket, and a tangle of cables in a backpack. Six desks lined the Nguyens' basement, connected by a nest of blue network cables to one blinking switch. The weekend ran on pizza, soda and hollering across the room, and nobody slept until Sunday.
Someone always tripped a breaker by Saturday night, and the whole basement went dark mid-match with a groan.
