The story of Flipper Alley Pinball
Flipper Alley held twenty-two machines in a room barely wider than a hallway, and the noise hit you from the sidewalk. Disco Volcano was the favorite, with a ramp that erupted the ball into a lava lane. The older kids could keep one ball alive for ten minutes. When the replay knocker banged, the whole room turned around.
The manager kept a jar of lost quarters found under the machines and used it to buy everyone ice pops in August.
