The story of Tape Barn Video
Tape Barn kept the empty boxes on the shelf and the real tapes behind the counter, so you carried a hollow box up front like a ticket. Vernon wrote staff picks on index cards in green marker. The scary aisle was guarded by a cardboard mummy, and the rewind fee was fifty cents, collected with a sigh.
Tape Barn's membership cards were laminated by hand, and Vernon remembered every family's late fee history by heart.
