The story of Two-Car Garage Jam

Dad's station wagon got exiled to the curb so the Velvet Hubcaps could rehearse. Egg cartons were stapled to the walls for soundproofing, which did nothing. Little kids from the block sat on bikes at the end of the driveway like a crowd. The band recorded a demo tape on a boombox and played it for anyone who held still.

Fun fact

The Velvet Hubcaps' only original song was about a lost retainer, and it was honestly pretty good.
