The story of Moonglide Roller Rink
Moonglide's DJ worked from a booth built like a lunar lander, announcing all skate, backwards skate, and finally the slow one under the giant mirror moon. Rental skates came with orange wheels and mystery laces. Between songs you bought a soft pretzel and a pickle from the snack window and pretended you weren't watching who held hands.
The limbo bar at Moonglide was a retired hockey stick, and the record low was set by a nine-year-old.
