The story of Skylight Food Court

Under the giant glass skylight sat Spud Galaxy, Pretzel Pagoda, Lemonade Lagoon and a teriyaki stand where a man in a paper hat handed out free samples on toothpicks. Trays were orange, chairs were bolted down, and the neon signs buzzed. Teens claimed the same table every Saturday and guarded it with jackets and a single shared basket of fries.

Fun fact

The teriyaki sample man handed out so many toothpicks that kids built a model suspension bridge out of them.
