The story of Plush Banana Midway
Every August the fairgrounds woke up: a Ferris wheel lit like a jukebox, a spinning ride that pinned you to the wall, and powdered sugar on every shirt in town. You threw rings at bottles for an hour to win a plush banana taller than your little brother. Then you visited the prize pig in the barn, just to be fair.
The fair's giant plush bananas were so popular that Route 9 was lined with them buckled into back seats every August.
