The story of Pedal-Down Go-Karts
Pedal-Down's track was ringed with stacked old tires painted in neon stripes, and a teenager in a striped shirt waved the checkered flag like it was the big leagues. The helmets smelled like everyone who had worn them. You had to be as tall as Gassy, the cartoon fuel pump on the height sign, to drive alone.
The fastest kart, number 7, was secretly slower than the rest, but everyone still fought to drive it.
