The story of Starbright Twin Drive-In
You tuned the car radio to hear the movie and parked nose-up on the gravel humps. Kids rode the swings under the giant screen until the first reel started, then piled into the wagon with blankets. At intermission a cartoon comet counted down the minutes while everybody sprinted to the snack shack for foot-long hot dogs.
Fun fact
Starbright handed out free mosquito coils on Tuesdays, and the smoke drifted through every headlight beam like fog.
